State of Thai Education

The Thai education system is often criticised for following a ‘top-down’ model focused on rote-learning, and failing to develop the critical skills needed for a 21st-century economy.

The Foreign Correspondents Club Thailand (FCCT) invited our founder Jonas Koblin to be part of a panel discussion withThai activist Netiwit Chotiphatphaisal and Glen Chatelier (Director at Assumption University) to discuss the State of Thai Education. As part of this panel discussion we presented the Sprouts Learning findings from the 2016/2017 Sprouts Thai School Survey in which we surveyed 4,000 school children from all over Thailand aged between 11 and 19 years.

Download the full Presentation from the FCCT Event or access the Raw Data of our 2017 survey here. The survey questions were promoted via the Sprouts Facebook Page between March and June 2017.
