Founder & Head of School

Jonas Koblin founded Sprouts for the first of his three children in 2018. Born in Munich and educated in the Waldorf system, Jonas established Sprouts Kindergarten to bring a meaningful, play-based German educational model to Bangkok. Beyond the school, Jonas is a recognized voice in education. He is the creator of Sprouts Schools—a YouTube network helping classrooms globally engage with the social sciences—and the co-founder of the Mali app, trusted by over 300,000 expecting mothers in Thailand every year. In 2024, he published The Unschoolers’ Educational Dictionary, a guide to alternative education. He leads with the belief that school should be a place where children develop trust in themselves, curiosity, and a love for lifelong learning.
